The Collective Magazine

With the role of Art Director for Issues III, IV, V, and VI of Appalachian State University’s fashion magazine, I oversaw the layout design of the publication while working with a large team of stylists, writers, designers, and more.
 
My contributions and experience as the Art Director at The Collective Magazine enabled me to acquire the necessary skills to lead an editorial team. Beyond leadership skills, I developed strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. I communicated creative direction to my team and was efficient in providing them with constructive feedback on their designs. Additionally, I received creative direction from the Editor-in-Chief, Creative Director, and Stylists. This experience of working on a dynamic and diverse team sharpened my ability to communicate effectively with people in other roles, provided exposure to and a deeper knowledge of adjacent fields, and ultimately broadened my creative practice.
